It would be great to have an image of where C56 is to make verifying whether or not it is there easier. I took a photo of my board with the location of C56- happy to send it to you. Also, my kit did not include a replacement capacitor for C56 which leaves me a bit in the lurch as I only have 16v 22u capacitors on hand.
Will skipping this step leave more dirt in the gain channel? I am one of those few who have actually found the gain channel to be usable for me.
Doesn’t the jumper behave the same as just leaving the potentiometer all the way up? I’m confused why it would be advantageous to eliminate the control altogether when you can get the same effect but still leave open the possibility of using the control should it make sense to do so.
