Remove the nut and washer! LOL it'll make it tough to get the PCB back in if you don't ; )
FWIW the new 4" wires were a bit short to make it from the main PCB to the ribbon connector input comfortably, so I connected both straight to the tube pins (eg the one in this step as well as in step 31)
yup. mine came with all purple.
mine too. C2002 pcb. I left the coax cables intact. Connected only 1, 3 & 6
